SERVICES IN DETAIL
The scope is defined at the start of the project according to the available content, its intended use and the relevant audience.
Translation and localisation of content used before booking and during the stay.
For small or family-run hotels and properties, the German structure can be developed from the existing Spanish content.
Translation and localisation of German content for audiences in Latin America. The target country or region is defined at the start of the project.
WORKING METHOD
At the outset, I examine the source texts and audience as well as the business’s identity, history and intended effect. Terminology, tone, information structure and scope are then agreed on this basis. I translate, localise and review every text myself.
THE DACH MARKET
In German-language hotel and tourism content, information density, terminology, forms of address and structure depend on the audience, booking channel and type of offer.
During localisation, I assess which information should be retained, clarified or given a different emphasis for the DACH market. Decisions on tone and structure are agreed with the business.
The German version is based on the Spanish original and the business’s identity. It brings the expectations of German-speaking guests together with the project’s own perspective and character.
PROJECT PROCESS
You send the source texts, website link and key project details. We also establish what the business stands for, whom it addresses and what the content should convey.
We agree the scope, terminology, tone, priorities and schedule. You then receive a proposal with the price and project timeline.
I transfer the content into German and adapt wording, structure and form of address to the agreed audience and context of use.
Before delivery, I check completeness, language, tone and consistency. The texts are supplied in the agreed format.
ADDITIONAL SERVICES
An English version can be included as a complementary service. Structure, terminology and tone are coordinated across the language versions.
